Koibeyondpond Truly Goes Beyond the Pond! Day 1

Hi all! Miss me? Im sure you do! CHUSERA! Well I apologize for the lack of posts lately. Kinarir ko lang talaga ang Holy Week and I decided to devote more time for Him. I won't share more about my reflections bilang serious yun- not funnn.

I felt lucky having a 6-day weekend. Thanks to the office summer outing last Monday and Tuesday. Well, we spent one day and a half at some far far place called MANILA OCEAN PARK! Layo no? But even if it was a mere 40-50 minute drive from Katipunan, it did not mean the experience was less fun. In fact, kinabagan lang ako sa kakatawa!

Trivia flash: Before I learned about the wonderful world of the male species, I had fish as pets. CHAROT! So basically, mahilig talaga ako sa mga isda.

Got to Manila Ocean Park at around 11:oo AM Monday

Walked a little more into the complex and...

Welcome to Manila Ocean Park!!! Tourist na tourist lang ang peg!

We stayed overnight at the Hotel H2O which was within the complex. In fairness to the place, it was sowsyal!

O diba? Real swimming fish! May yellow fin, lapu-lapu, talakitok and bangus. CHOZ. Actually I don't know their names ang kilala ko lang si Nemo!

While waiting for Dani to arrive, we had lunch by the sea.

Eating in style. The air wasn't exactly fresh (duh Manila Bay) But kebs! Gutom na ako!

Meanwhile in the Lounge we saw something interesting...

So our first activity was the trip to the Oceanarium...

Yes, parang tour lang ng Ms. Earth Philippines contestants!
But wait akala ko ba Oceanarium?? Bakit parang nasa rain forest?!?!

This greeted us in the entrance...

I swear ang laki niya! KROKOOOOT! While observing that huge creature all I could think of was this...

Holy week hangover much???

Walking into the park, we saw this!!!!

Ay I like!!!!

You dip the feeding bottle into the aquarium and the Kois will be attacking the nipple like hungry babies

Meanwhile I noticed something more exciting than feeding the Kois...

Thank you Auee for being the props! CHOZ. But please direct your attention to that kerreh Ocenarium crew!

Parang gusto kong lumapit at sabihing " Hi! I'm Koi too! Will you feed me please?" CHAROT

So maraming mga isdang makukulay along the trail. Some were beautiful some were panget. Some were pretty to have in an aquarium while some were bagay na ihain pang-ulam!

The most bongga part...

Theme: Saklolo! With a smile

There were live corals, manta rays and sharks! May mga divers din na pakitang gilas kung makasakay sa shark! Parang "kuya napanood niyo po ba ang Jaws?"

Speaking of sharks there was a tank full of them...

AIRPORT?!?! Hoy mga batugan may mga turista! Mag-inarte kayo!

Then we went to see the sea lions...

And saw something more! Hey kere! Atenshun!

We went to see tanks of jelly fish too! And the laser light show but I don't have the pics yet :)

And that's day 1!

Watch out for Day 2! The fish spa (pag-iinarte videos included HAHA), going to the gym (!) doing the belly dance (!!!) and battling Little Mermaid!

Once in a Lifetime Pang-Aabuso

When I was president of the Council of Organizations of the Ateneo (COA 08-09), my only request for my birthday was for the Ateneo College Glee Club (ACGC) to sing for me.

Talk about abuse of power (Chuice!) But I am a huge fan of this world-renowned choir group and I felt that I was in the perfect position to make such request! I wanted them to sing Minsan Lang Kita Iibigin which is one of my favorite songs.

I thought only a handful of their members would come to the COA Room to do the favor together with some members of the council with a simple cake. Ay mali, I requested din pala Conti's Mango Bravo! ABUSADA.

Well it turned out that almost all members of of ACGC serenaded me along the MVP stairs while I went down and greeted everyone waiting near the lobby. May photo presentation pa.

This year marks a milestone for the Philippine Choral World as the Ateneo de Manila College Glee Club (ACGC), the Philippines' oldest university chorale, celebrates its 90th anniversary. From April to June, the ACGC will be going around Europe for its Concert-Competition Tour, “In eXCelsis.”

During the course of the group’s preparation for the tour, the ACGC received overwhelming support from the Ateneo community. As a heartfelt ...way of giving back, the ACGC came up with the “In eXCelsis” Concert Series 2011:

• Gloria! In eXCelsis Deo
- January 15 at the Church of the Gesu, Ateneo de Manila University

• A Grand Night of Singing
- February 5 at the Cultural Center of the Philippines

• Virtus in eXCelsis
- March 5 at the PhilAm Life Auditorium

As a culmination of the group's preparations for the coming European Tour, the ACGC proudly invites you to the final leg of its "In eXCelsis" Concert Series, Virtus in eXCelsis. This send-off concert will showcase selections from the ACGC's tour repertoire and will feature the fruits of the choir's year-long preparations.

Tickets will be at Php 300 and gates will open at 6 PM. For tickets, kindly contact Fiona at 09277322242. Tickets may be purchased at P50 less for groups of 10 or more.

Pardon my relatively long absence but my whole weekend was pretty tight. CHE, feeling! HAHA

Oh well, advertisements are everywhere! (Anlayo bigla?!?) Before, they were simply painted on walls and billboards. Now, you find them on the radio, on TV, printed on newspapers and magazines, even strategically (sometimes, distastefully) placed in movie scenes.

And then we have them in websites, mails and blogs. Even here! (I installed Nuffnang in the hopes na mapansin nila at kumita naman ako! Chuice!) Of course pati Facebook. I dunno pero hello bulag ka na ata kung di mo sila napapansin! But who among you guys actually read them?

I DO! At my gulay nakakatawa lang yung iba! Sometimes you'll wonder if they are even legitimate!

Oh well, here they are!

Anyareh sa Globe? I know I have friends working there pero bakit parang naging jeje ata sila? 30WwzZ mU$+4 ph0w$zzZZ?

First mejo mukhang tanga yung starfish na naka shades ok? Second, if you understand bisaya then you will find this kinky hee hee hee. In fairness, maraming fans!

WEW parang ayoko na nito! Effort pala eh! And please explain what "retires you in 4 years" mean? As in afford mo na magretire after 4 years? Hmm, then maybe this is a great offer!

Bakit parang babae ang namagnet ni kuya hindi money? Or if ateh attended the seminar, sure ba siya na tama ang namagnet niya? Joke lang!

Oh! Its a tagalog speaking baboy! Take note: ARUGAIN! Fluent!!!! But true to his nature, ayan gutom lang lagi! Mejo needy nga lang. Nanghingi na ng pagkain, nagpasama pa! Sorry pero eto lang ang baboy na gusto ko alagaan

Wednesday last week, I was asked to make a certain commitment to myself in order to continue my process of self development. I noted down that I intend to explore more on my creativity. Hence, apart from creating fashion sketches, this blog came about.
