KOIture Awards:SAG 2011 Edition (2nd of 2 Parts)

KOI-Ture Awards: SAG 2011 Edition continues! Missed part 1? Click here.

The other night I had a dream. Nasa red carpet daw ako. I'm not sure which Awards I was in basta there were cameras everywhere and stars were in their best gowns and suits. I walked down the red carpet and people were shouting my name while I was singing "Time of My Life" in my head.

Then I woke up. Leche. Late na ako. Time of my life pala ah! Wala na akong time!

So yeah pangarap ko talaga ang bumaba ng car habang pinipicturan ng maraming reporters. And I'll be wearing shades ala Miranda Priestly in Devil Wears Prada. I dunno when this will happen or how to make it happen but I just know it will. Wag lang yung parang nadawit sa scandal kaya hinahabol ka. Chuice!)

Anyway going back to the real topic, here are the winners!

Sofia Vergara in Roberto Cavalli

This latina bombshell was an explosion on the red carpet! From her tocino look last Golden Globes, she came back to life in this blue violet number which perfectly showcased her curves! Ay ang winner lang talaga!

Lea Michele in Oscar dela Renta

Yes she did it again! The sparkling nude dress accentuated with a thin gold belt was nothing but gorgeous. And just like any hollywood A-Lister, she seemed to have perfected the glamorous -dress-paired-with-an-out-of-bed-look way of dressing!

Rosario Dawson in J Mendel

The pale yellow was very suitable for her skin tone. You see, it would have been a disaster if nakiuso siya and wore nude as well. Simple cut but well accessorized with a pair of turquoise earrings that stood out beautifully. Eto ang effortless chic!

Mila Kunis in Alexander McQueen

It's always a big risk to come in a printed dress but this one did not fail. I believe the dress complemented not only her skin and hair color but also her "cat-like" eyes and her strong character.

Natalie Portman in Azzaro

Here's another one who came back from the grave. Goodbye red flower! Simple, clean, almost divine. Best of all, it highlighted the best accessory any woman could show off- her baby bump. Oh the joys of motherhood! (YES ALAM KO TALAGA)

Tova Traenaes in an unidentified dress

Here's another great accessory...wrinkles! Look at her, she looked regal and repectable. Queen na queen! And this is what you call graceful aging. Unlike old ladies still finding it hard to accept that they are no longer in their 20's.

Justin Timberlake in Simon Spurr

Always best dressed! Simple suit, simple two-striped tie but overall, his outfit looked sophisticated! Akin nalang!...Si JT. ECHOZ.

Matthew Morrison in Prada

KOIture Awards:SAG 2011 Edition (1st of 2 Parts)

In my last KOI-Ture Awards featuring the Golden Globes, I mentioned that the next edition will be for the Oscars. Well, I forgot about the Screen Actors Guild (SAG) Awards which took place today.

I was lucky to catch some parts of E! News' Red Carpet coverage this morning hence I was able to perform an advanced assessment at how people did in the fashion department. Well, when you compare it with the Golden Globes (Part 1, Part 2, Part3) some stars improved while others stayed the same or failed drastically. Nagfeeling fashion critic lang.

Without further ado, I present...

You have to agree, improving ang visuals! CHE.

And here are the winners!

Heather Morris in Romona Keveza

Again, nude is the new black. I wouldn't be surprised if a lot of women will go for nude in the Academy Awards this February. But then again, it depends on who is wearing it. Well, Brittany may be that dumb blond in Glee but she was absolutely a fashion genius in this number. The color suited her well, perfect fit, elegant bead work and appropriate accessories (a.k.a. no kere boy beside.Chuice!)

Julianna Margulies in Yves Saint Laurent

Simple gown but the color made all the difference. She looked like a goddess in this outfit! No need for million-dollar-diamonds. Just a little confidence and that wide smile.

Julia Stiles in Ombre

This is my favorite. Unlike the previous dress, this number could have been boring without the gradation. And I love the whole contrast of the feminine outfit softening the hard features of Julia.

Boys! Come out wherever you are... (shet parang pedo lang)

Andrew Garfield in Burberry

This lad is slowly becoming my red carpet favorite. His boyish charm is always coupled with an impeccable suit. Haaaay! Very Irresistible! So anong mas gusto mo? Bahay, kotse or cash? ECHOS.

James Franco in Gucci

A guy you could ways take home to your parents. He's not squeaky clean in fact, a little scruffiness works for him. He can give you a warm fuzzy feel. KUMOT?!?!

And now for the special awards...

GALING SA SLEEPOVER AWARD

is given to

Naya Rivera in Aurelio Costarella

O, ok ka naman dati ah? Day, sabi gown hindi night gown. And what's with the out-of-bed hairdo? Wag mong sasabihing effortless chic ang tema mo dahil effortless lang yan! Galit much?

STUFFED TOY AWARD

is given to

Angie Harmon in Monique Lhuillier

I know, love your own but the gown did not work for her. I think she lacked the attitude. Well, teh, hanap ka na ng kapatid mo

Si Falcor!

SINTURON NI HUDAS AWARD

is given to

Claire Danes in Louis Vuitton

Ok naman kasi yung gown but could you tell me what that belt is doing there? Besides san ba yan galing? Hickok o McJim???

For the third part, let's play a little intellectual game of arithmetic!

Helena Bonham Carter in Marc Jacobs
(konting lace. Thank God for matching shoes)

January Jones in Carolina Herrera
(Black frames with gold-gold embellishment achuchu)

PAMAYPAY NI LOLA!

Here's another one!

Mariska Hargitay in Isaac Mizrahi
(aka TAPIS)

Kate Mara in Herve Leger by Max Azria
(ROLLERS PANG KULOT)

Your favorite LANDLADY!!!

And so watch out for Part 2!
