5 Most Effective Beauty Tips

Despite all the things you may have known/ have read about me, it might still be surprising to find out that I have a girl-crush. (WEEEEHHHHHH?!) Well excuse me girls pero wag kayong mag-feeling at mag freak-out diyan because it's not any one of you. Unless nagbabasa rin nito si...

Catherine Zeta-Jones!
(feeling?)

I dunno. I guess because her beauty is very classic and timeless. Not to add the elegance that comes out naturally in whatever she's doing. Ok so kung ayaw niyo maniwala, let's just say I want to be like her HAHAHA. Except that I hate the female form.

But sino nga bang aayaw sa ganitong ganda? In fact, most people are willing to try any skin care product, procedure or ritual masabihan lang ng "Ay ang ganda mo today" (Na pang small-talk lang naman talaga Chuice!)

So here are 5 basic beauty tips that can definitely turn the ugliest duck into the the ugliest swan (Chos!)

1. Keep it natural

Stay away from chemicals and other foreign objects that you put on your face. That includes make-up especially when you don't know how to really put them on. And though it may be a little more expensive, go organic! Like this...

Organic soap made from the owner's BREAST MILK

Jusko lord! Parang ayoko nalang gamitin! Sold only in the States but joining the influx of foreign brands invading the Philippine market such as Forever 21 and Muji, Mother's Moon Soaps will be available locally, MADE FROM LOCAL PRODUCTS. Thanks to...

2. Add a dash of color

You may love black, white and gray but your attraction quotient will definitely shoot up when you add even just a little color to your clothes and accessories. Or if you want to be a little daring, why not color your hair!

And I'm not just talking about the hair on top of your head!

May I suggest Ponkan Orange Betty, Pomelo Pink Betty, and UBAN Betty?

3. Accessorize!

Jazz up your plain shirt by adding accessories and blings that would capture the attention of many!

These are silicone caps but if you are on a tight budget you can get same results but gluing some...

May instant snack ka pa!

4. Eat well!

Let beauty come from within by watching your diet and making sure that you only munch on the healthy stuff. And get on those deals that would give you multiple results with one food type...

Breast Enhancing Cookies Fortified with Vitamins!

Reminds me of ...

NakakaBUSOG at nakakaLUSOG!!! (gets?)

Finally, aanhin mo ang ganda kung wala ka namang personality. And did you know that your personality is first judged with how you smile. So...

5. SMILE!

Wanna Be Pretty?

Salons and Spas are girls' best friends. Whenever they feel stressed, nothing beats a good pampering even at the nearest parlor. Usual services range from a simple mani-pedi to a much more expensive hot oil treatments, rebond/reborn/re-sabunot (chez) and various massages.

Simply put, women go to beauty and wellness centers to relax and feel a little bit better about themselves. But what if bad things happen instead?

We all have heard of parlor disasters: Poorly dyed or "overcooked" hair, allergies and nail injuries. I bet this could be one of ladies' worst nightmares.

DAMING DALDAL!!!

One day, I found a flyer of a salon/" facial and skin care center". At first glance, it looked impressive- wide range of services at very affordable rates. But reading every word, parang back-out na.

As I went through each product, I have gone from doubt, to confusion to FEAR FOR LIFE (Chuice!) Find out why...

DOUBT

So.... Ilan talaga kayo? 1, 2, 3? HAHA Shet baka isa lang tapos multi-tasking

If you can't spell wrinkles, you can't treat them! (Meganon?)

CONFUSION

HA?!?! So anong gusto niyo ma-achieve?

Hmm? Too much exposure on Sun...day? Chuice-day ok lang?

So, which anti-aging agent are we talking about? At sosyal ah bakit niya kelangan ng katulong!?!

Exthia. Parang malubhang galis lang. HAHA

OMG. French kayo or Italian?? And tama ba ang iniisip ko? Lesseu...

ICE BAG! CHUICE!

Ang daming "S and to"!! Nalunod ako! In fairness, parang tongue twister! Repeat 10 times! GOW!

FEAR FOR LIFE

SO AKALA KO BA PAMPAGANDA TO?? Why will it prevent smooth and clear skin?!?

Isa pa to! Who wants softer yet dry and irritated skin?

Eww ha! Oily acne? NO THANKS! I'm done with puberty!

But wait, eto matakot ka na. Also available...

AND

HOMAYGOD AYOKO NA!!!!!!

Well, wag naman daw tayo matakot. May assurance

CHE NIYO!!!!

So I won't really tell what salon is this. But if you live in katipunan then you may have gotten a copy of this brochure too. HAHAH Ill see you guys there?

Dressing it the Ms. Universe Way! (3rd of 4 parts)

You may have known that the Philippines held the title of Ms. Universe only twice. First was in 1969 when the crown was brought home by Gloria Diaz

O diba?Kebs lang daw niya ang mga astronauts

Four years later Margarita Moran won in Athens, Greece.

Wow she was actually labeled as the Onassis of the Philippines. Shushal!

Since 1963 we had a long drought of Ms. Universe winners. We were close to winning when Miriam Quiambao cinched 1st runner up in 1999. We'll she may have been noticed because of her gracious fall. Papansin ka teh? Joke lang!

O poised kung poised!

Will we win this time? I don't know. All I know is that this is part 3 and I have more comments coming hahaha!

HITS!

Ms. Puerto Rico

I can't exactly tell what the dress looks like but notice how it hugs her shapely form perfectly. Ay ang manyak ata nun! Well, the I love the red shade which complemented her blond locks. She looked regal in the drop earrings too.

Ms. Trinidad and Tobago

I love how black was homogeneously (nosebleed...) mixed with gold. The fabric also made the dress dreamy and dramatic. She looks like a modern Cleopatra if not for her hair na parang dinilaan ng kalabaw. Chuice!

MISSES!!
Ms. Romania

I do not get the squares on her boobs, her ornate belt and that weird cut of the dress. And what is that??? Are you hiding a leopard inside??? haha

Ms. Singapore

The fuschia looks kinda cheap, not to mention the peek-a-boo. And is it just me or mukha siyang bading? Ay, and the pose, parang "Good mawnin kohya! Had fun last night?"

Ms. Switzerland

FULL LACE TALAGA??? Excuse me but she looks like a poon. Please. My lola wore the same thing when she was Hermana of the Santa Cruzan. Minus the slit. (Sana lang!)

FACE-OFF!!!

Round 1

Ms. USA. Afraid!! I heard kasama niya sa Thing.

Round 2

Ms. Uruguay. Aaaaahhh! Refreshing! Che.

Round 3

Ms. Tanzania. Uy uso yan dati!!! Yung iba naka-braid pa!

Round 4

Ms. Thailand. Under the sea! Under the sea! Hanap ka na ni...

Round 5

Ms. Bolivia. Healthy mo naman teh!

6 more days!!!

Dressing it the Ms. Universe Way! (2nd of 4 parts)

8 days to go before the crowning of the new Ms. Universe! If you do not know it yet, the current title holder is Ms. Venezuela, Stefania Fernandez

Ganda ka?

Trivia: She was crowned last year in the Islands of the Bahamas at 18 years old. What is bata? Also, the crown was handed over to her by Dayana Mendoza who is likewise a Venezuelan. This made Stefania a Guinness record holder for being the first Ms. Universe crowned by a compatriot (Wikipedia). O diba? Say?

This year, Venezuela's bet is Marelisa Gibson
Mukhang may laban!

Anyhoo, going back to our usual segments. Hits, Misses and the Fashion Face-offs!

Ms. Cyprus

I love the color. Obviously blue is my favorite color. The gown is simple as it has no embellishments. But look at how the dress flows! It had the perfect combination of heavy and light fabric adding drama to the plain cut.

Ms. Korea

Unlike Cyprus, Korea went fashionably overboard. Anik-anik to the max! Very Korean actually. What I liked about the dress was how it was softened by the sheer fabric of the "skirt". I'm not just quite sure about the kita-legs slit. Kinda high and slutty.

Misses!

Ms. Haiti

JUST WHAT IS THIS? It's a BRA meets CORSET meets BUFFET TABLE CLOTH disaster! And what's with the pose? Looks like she's got a dislocated right hip! HAHA

Ms. Ireland

Ateh, nagtitipid kayo? In fairness, swimsuit and evening gown in one! I guess inspired by

Chuice!

Ms. Norway

Ok the dress looks nice... FOR KING ARTHUR THE MOVIE! Ay di to costume party ah!

FACE-OFF!!!

Round 1

Ms. Lebanon. Pang- Fire prevention month!

Round 2

Ms. Panama. Uy favorite ni Spongebob yan!

Round 3

Ms. Peru. So ikaw ang nagnakaw ng Christmas Decors sa bahay??? Chez

Round 4

Ms. Slovak Republic. Stiff naman!

Round 5

Ms. Finland and Ms. Nicaragua. No copying kase! Yan tuloy!!!
